At the end of 2018, J+P GmbH in Saarbrücken celebrated 20 years in business. Joanne Perrault founded the translation company as a one-woman business in Saarbrücken in 1998 and has been responsible for its management ever since. The company is now a private limited company, “J+P GmbH Professionelle Übersetzungen”, located at Hochstrasse 63 on the Saar terraces in Saarbrücken, in the heart of the IT district. “Together, our team adds up to more than 40 years of experience in the translation business. We also regularly cooperate with a pool of more than 20 translators, all native speakers with a degree in translation,” says Joanne Perrault. The firm currently offers translations from and into countless languages, including German, English, French, Franco-Canadian French, Italian, Spanish, Latvian and Arabic.
“Our translators are all native speakers with a university degree and each specialises in a particular field, such as technology, law, advertising, marketing, IT or communication media. It goes without saying that we can also provide certified translations of important legal documents,” explains Joanne Perrault. The clientele include business enterprises of all sizes as well as private customers, who usually need translations of contracts or official documents.
As an error-free text is an absolute must in the field of national and international communications, the translation agency decided to undergo a quality audit. “This was successfully completed on 1 February 2018 and the company is now certified in accordance with ISO 17100:2015. Amongst other things, this standard prescribes the principle of dual control, or double-checking, which means that our range of services also includes proofreading and, on request, editing by experts in the sector concerned, in accordance with the language level of the country of destination,” adds Joanne Perrault.
